One Thing

One thing I know. This mission is not about me. It's not about us. It's not about who we are or what we are. It's about the God we serve. It's about the God whom we have surrendered our very lives to. It's about the beauty that He has shown to us.

I have learned that. Here in Africa. Being here for almost two years brought me into a sudden realization that I'm not here because of me or because of what I can do. But I am here to give. I am here to love. and most of all, I am here to receive the blessings that He has planned to give and bestow on me. Somehow I could not understand the feelings of others. With all that is happening around me. All I could do is pray and be silent and come back to the very first day I fell in love with God.

One thing leads to another. A thing that I could just kneel down and thank God. He gave me a life that is way beyond what I have imagined. I have found friends that I consider my family. True and real friends. True and real family that could tell and correct me in whatever situations and circumstances I am in. God is truly making each of my day a humbling experience. Showing me insights that I could not fathom. Showing me miracles that I could always remember and cherish. True and real miracles. I could not stop talking about Africa because this continent made me risk everything. I could not complain, I could not doubt but just believe in the power of His grace.

Each person who is sent to Africa for mission is with a specific purpose. To change and make a difference in this continent and introduce God.. but more than that, to receive the faith. Realizing that giving yourself, you could receive more. And it did change you... Your whole persona. Just these past few days we have the Middle East SFCs who came here for a one week Mission Exchange. I was excited and felt blessed to have co-brothers in mission to experience the work given to us here in Kenya. They thrived and embraced the work. They absolutely experienced the greatest adventure of their lives.

As we were gathering to share their moments with the Lord here in Africa. All I could hear is the cry in their hearts that they wanted to come back here. longer. Their heart beats for Africa as well.

and i'm glad.

Thank You, Lord Jesus.

Take Time.

One thing that allows me to discover how perfect God's love is to realize each and every detail of where He has brought me now. Yes, I too have my own problems, concerns, hurts, pains, and situations that I could not even think how to survive on that and continue putting your hope in Him and on Him. I do not live a perfect life.

My missionary life has its ups and downs. But one good thing is that God allows me to see him. His plans again are not my plans. I long to keep that in mind. He can bring me to places I never dreamed of. He has this amazing power to turn things around me. He has this power to make me realize that all things are happening for the good. What a life! A life He has been leading me.

2 more months and i'll be going back to the Philippines. The Home for me. But isnt it amazing that God has allowed me to feel at home here in Kenya? Here in Africa? He has given me a family here. And right now, what I could just tell you is that I love Africa! This has been my home, my family and always be one my homes. My heart is beating much for Africa.

Yesterday we had our SFC Assembly and with a whooping attendance. I was surprise and amaze on the beauty of God here in kenya. And I cried the moment I saw the leaders praying over their members. I was filled with this joy that I could not explain. The hall was filled with love. It's all about love.

I'm taking time. savoring it. loving it. God has led me here. and He is the only one who knows where to bring me next. I do not have a perfect life.. But I do have a perfect God who keeps on holding me and chasing me. Molding me to face more battles, face more challenges... but more so to receive more of His love and graces.

I open my heart to you, Oh Lord.
